Start by drawing lightly so that you can easily erase if you make any mistakes.
Step 1: Draw the Princess’s Head Outline
Start by drawing a simple circle for the princess’s head.

Step 2: Draw the Princess’s Dress
Below the head, draw two short straight lines going down. Then connect them with two “V” shapes to form the top of her dress.
Then, add a flowing, bell-shaped gown by drawing curved lines that go outwards and then back inwards towards the bottom.

Step 3: Add the Ears and Arms
Draw two tiny half-circles on the sides of her head for ears.
From the sides of the top of her dress, draw two small ovals for her sleeves. Then add two long curved lines coming down from the sleeves for her arms.

Step 4: Draw The princess’s Hair and Crown
Draw wavy, flowing lines on either side of the princess’s head. Add curved lines inside the hair for more details.
On top of her head, draw a horizontal curved line for the base of the crown. Then, draw three small triangles on top of that line to make the points, and finish with small dots on top of the triangles to give your crown a realistic look.
Erase any part of the face outline where the hair attaches to make it look connected.

Step 5: Add the Face Details
Let’s give our princess a friendly face!
- Draw two round dots for the eyes, then add tiny curved lines from the top for the eyelashes.
- Draw a tiny curved line for the nose, then add a small curved line for the mouth.
- Finish with two small circles for rosy cheeks.

Step 6: Color Your Royal Princess!
Now, it’s time to add a burst of color! You can color the princess’s gown in any royal color you like, such as pink, purple, or blue. Make her hair a lovely blonde or brown, and don’t forget to color her crown a shiny gold!

How to Fix Common Princess Drawing Mistakes
- Dress is Too Narrow: A princess usually has a wide, elegant dress. If your dress looks too straight, go back to Step 2 and make the curved lines wider.
- Crown is Too Small: The crown is a very important part of a princess’s look. Make sure you draw it big enough to look majestic, as shown in Step 4.
- Hair is Stiff: Princess hair often flows beautifully. Remember to use wavy lines to give it movement and volume, as in Step 4.
- Missing Facial Features: Don’t forget the big, round eyes and sweet smile to give your princess a kind expression, as shown in Step 5.
